another friend from high school recently contacted me about doing a shoot where she could flex her creativity. she got used to being back in front of the camera and i’m slowly (but surely) working on styling people; worked out well for both of us!

mason has a big interview with an agent coming up! so we decided to go to the park and get some head shots done… which quickly turned into games of tag and charades. and he kicked my but every single time.

a shoot just for… fun!? haven’t picked up my camera in a while, so laura and i wandered around spring grove yesterday. the photogs i work for enjoy their “fine art” whereas i usually am completely flustered when it comes to shooting not people/details. it was a challenge, pushing myself past the styles i’m used to, but i think the end result was pretty interesting! then laura’s rolleiflex came out to play! with our digital cameras + my holga, it was like “camera obscura: through the ages” :)

even better than beautiful brides? NICE brides! and thankfully, anna was both. and then she played sufjan stevens at her reception and i vote her for best wedding EVER.

playing around with sunbursts during sunrise at the beach when this lil’ guy flew into the frame. i was pretty peeved (WAY TO RUIN THE SHOT, SEAGULL) until i looked at the back of my camera…
